We are thrilled to thank our clients and supporters for their generous donations towards Whitelion’s No Home Address campaign.
If the events of this year have taught us anything, it is how important it is to have a place to call home, a safe haven to retreat to when there’s nowhere else to go. As Australians we are all grappling with the longer-term consequences of COVID-19 – uncertainty around health, employment and financial security looms large for many of us.
These fears are an everyday occurrence for the 44,000 young people in Australia who don’t have a place to call home, or even a safe place to sleep. Lock down and social isolation are tough on all of us, but for many young people at risk, social isolation is their reality on a day-to-day basis. Most of us know we will get back to our normal lives at some stage in the future, for many of these young people issues will be protracted. More than ever they need your support.
That’s why Holdstock Law partnered with Whitelion Youth Agency, to work towards a goal of fundraising $500,000 to help support highly vulnerable, at-risk youth.
Every $2,500 raised will give young people access to vital support from a Whitelion youth worker for up to six months, helping them achieve safety and stability in their lives.
